Pineapple Shot

Olmeca’s Pineapple Tequila Shot is everything you need when drinking on the beach or in the club. This shot has that exotic feel, tangy and punchy flavors everyone will love, plus it’s laced with tequila to get you in the mood for a party. Not only this, but using fresh pineapple will ensure that you’re getting some important nutrients in, giving you the juice to rave longer.

Ingredients:

  • Fresh Pineapple
  • Pineapple Juice
  • Olmeca Altos Tequila

How to Mix :

Use a knife to chop some pineapple pieces and throw them into a bowl. Now slice up the lime and squeeze it all over the pineapple bits. Give it all a mix, then get your shot glasses ready. Throw a little pineapple into each shot glass and half-fill it with pineapple juice. Finally, grab your tequila and top up each shot glass. Call your friends, shout ‘salud,’ and down this tasty, tropical tequila treat.

– Pour in a little less pineapple juice and a little extra tequila if you want to make this one a little stronger

Short Rise Shot

Three-ingredient shot-tails don’t come much better than Olmeca’s Short Rise. This is another simple shot to make, ideal for those pushed for time or those feeling a little wobbly already. Our Short Rise is like the classic Tequila Sunrise’s renegade sibling, short, punchy, and a little wild. This is also a great shot if you are trying to impress someone with your shot-making skills, and it looks far more complicated to make than it is.

Ingredients:

  • Olmeca Plata
  • Orange Juice
  • Red Cherries in Syrup (Grenadine is a great alternative)

Mixing It Up:

Like most shots with tequila, shake this one in ice for best results. Pour equal parts tequila and orange juice into a shaker with ice, and give it a good mix. Place a splash of Grenadine or a cherry with some syrup into the bottom of the shot glass. Now pour the juicy tequila mix into the glass, and watch the colorful display. When the ‘sun’ has risen, neck the shot and head to your happy place.

If you fancy a longer drink, follow this method with 2-part orange juice and 1-part Olmeca Plata, then pour into a high ball.

Olmeca Tequila Submarine

Deep-dive into the Tequila Submarine, one of the easiest tequila drinks you can make. The most important aspects of this drink are a quality beer and a good cocktail tequila like Olmeca. The tequila submarine is best shared with your squad; you can even add a little competition. See who can down it the quickest, and punish whoever comes in last.

Ingredients:

Bottle of beer (no more than 4 to 4.5% here, we don’t want to spoil the party)
Olmeca Reposada or Gold
Wedge of lime

Mixing It Up:

Grab a highball glass or tumbler, and empty out the suds into each one. Line up your shot glasses and fill them to the top with Olmeca tequila. Next, place a lime wedge on the top of each shot glass. Get your friends ready, and when someone shouts ‘go’ dunk the glass and the wedge in the tumbler and start sinking that drink.

Be careful not to tip the glass back too far, or that shot glass could take out a front tooth, not exactly what you need during party season.
Spring Break is a great time for tequila drinks, and these three are perfect for day drinking or raving in the club. Tasty, easy to make, and fully loaded with Olmeca tequila, life doesn’t get much better.
